Sciteck® Diagnostics line of Calibrators and Controls are for use in Adulteration (specimen validity testing) for pH, Creatinine, Nitrite, Chromate, Oxidants, Aldehydes, Peroxidase, Enzymes (amylase) and Halogens (to include Bleach). These Calibrators meet or exceed every regulatory agency (CAP FDT the Gold Standard, SAMHSA and HHS CLIA accredited laboratories) guidelines for adulteration testing on human saliva and urine for use on automated clinical chemistry analyzers or adulteration test strips (e.g. AdultaCheck®). The Calibrator and Controls are not for use in diagnosing disease or illness to effect treatment, and/or cure. They are for Forensic / Toxicology use only. The Calibrators and Controls are ready to use liquid controls for use on autoanalyzers or dry chemistry methods. They are sold individually or in sets and may be used with any reagent lot.

Preparation of Calibrators:
SAM-SET™ Calibrators are ready for use upon receipt. No preparation is necessary.

Stability, Storage, and Deterioration:
Calibrators are stable until expiration date on containers. Store the calibrators at 2 – 10°C and use as instructed.
Recap and store the calibrators immediately after use.

Procedure:
SAM-SET™ Calibrators are tested according to the directions provided with the instrument and reagents used.
Use the calibrators as specified in the appropriate assay package insert or application sheet.

1. Remove the calibrators from the storage device.
2. Gently invert the calibrators several times to ensure complete mixing.
3. Remove the cap.
4. Dispense the desired volume of sample for calibration.
5. Replace the cap and store immediately.

Expected Results:
The calibrators must be properly stored and handled before and during testing. Use fresh reagent and calibrators each day.
Each laboratory is expected to establish its own quality assurance procedure for that laboratory.

Limitations of Product:
SAM-SET™ Calibrators should not be used beyond the expiration date printed on the label. Calibrators that have not been handled or stored as instructed may not perform as expected. To obtain satisfactory results the procedural directions for the instrument and reagents should be followed as stated.
